San Fran Nan relied on old fashioned retail politics to cajole or buy 220 votes for socialized health care in the House. The bill, far more left-wing than anything that can pass the Senate, will be an albatross around the necks of her swing-district members.
Those pundits who are of the “now the Dems will pass something and get credit” opinion should be reminded that passing a disaster is worse than passing nothing. The GOP has said this was awful and will reap the benefits.
